Flygt hydro ejectors perform two different operations depending on the level of the water. First, when submerged the hydro ejector acts as a mixer by utilizing primary and secondary water flow. Secondly, when the water level is low and the nozzle is no longer submerged, the hydro ejector automatically turns into a flushing device.

Equipped with a special impeller and cutting plate, chopper pumps will cut up a wide variety of long fibrous materials and solid objects into small, harmless pieces, that will neither block up the pump, nor the piping. The cutting action can be compared to that of a scissors. With an operation speed of over 1400 rpm, material passing through the pumps is chopped more than 140 times per second into harmless pieces.

The Flygt BIBO pump is designed like no other pump on the market. The hydraulic design on the pump makes it several times more wear resistant in comparison with traditional dewatering pumps. Flygt 2700 pumps handle large flows up to 80 l/s (1000 GPM), high heads to 75 m (250 ft.), and solids up to 80 mm (3.2 in.) in diameter.
